A Certified Forever by Kafi Wise

Thank you, Kafi Wise, for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A Certified Forever took me on a healing journey I was not prepared for. I’ll be real, when I first met Elaine in A Certified Love, I was NOT a fan. The way she did my girl Nikayla had me hot, and I was ready to write her off completely. But Kafi Wise made me eat my words. This book not only gave me a new perspective on Elaine, but it also opened the door to understanding her in a way that was surprisingly emotional.

What I appreciated most is that Kafi didn’t try to erase or excuse Elaine’s past mistakes. Instead, she let us sit with Elaine’s flaws and unpack them. We got to see the layers of hurt, fear, and choices that shaped her. Watching her go through her healing journey felt so authentic, and honestly, I related to it on a personal level. Having walked through my own season of healing, I found myself connecting with Elaine in ways I never expected. That’s what made her story hit me so hard; she felt real.

Then came Andre. Listen, this man right here deserves his own standing ovation. He was everything Elaine needed and more; he was patient, consistent, emotionally intelligent, and deeply devoted. His persistence wasn’t forceful; it was gentle and steady, a constant reminder that love can be both strong and safe. He validated Elaine, gave her space to grow, and stood by her through it all. That’s the kind of love story that makes your heart swell. Simply put, Andre is a MAN, capital letters and all.

Kafi Wise’s writing style is one of my favorite things about this book. She balances emotion, romance, and realism with such ease. She doesn’t shy away from hard truths, but she also gives us hope and love in the process. By the end, I wasn’t just rooting for Elaine and Andre as a couple; I was celebrating Elaine’s growth as a woman who chose to do the work to heal and open herself up to love.

A Certified Forever is more than just a romance; it’s a story of redemption, healing, and second chances. It reminded me that people can change, not overnight, but through accountability, self-reflection, and the right kind of love. I enjoyed this book so much, and I can’t wait to see what Kafi Wise gives us next.
