Hey there, book besties! I’m Tamirah, and this little corner of the internet is where I get to share my love for books whether it’s in depth reviews, fun bookish content, or just me gushing about my latest book bae (because yes, we’re going to talk about them!).

My love for reading didn’t start early like some it hit me in my late teens when I decided to sneak one of my father’s Eric Jerome Dickey books, The Other Woman, and whew, let’s just say I was hooked. Since then, books have become my therapy, my escape, and my greatest joy.

I’m a fiction, romance and urban fiction girl through and through, but I also dive into historical fiction, fantasy, mystery, and thrillers. Some of my must read authors? A.E. Valdez, Kimberly Brown, Ashley Antoinette, and Ladii Nesha, just to name a few. But what really holds my heart is Black indie authors and magnifying Black voices and Black love.

Why I Started This Blog

Honestly? My daughter. She’s also a reader (even though our genre tastes are completely different), and one day she just said, “Ma, you should start a blog,” and even set it up for me. While I was hesitant at first, her faith in me and her motivation to see me do this was all I needed. So, baby girl, because I know you’re reading this, thank you!
