Cappadonna (Delgato Family Season 2) by Jahquel J.

OK y’all, so let’s talk about Cappadonna. I don’t even know where to start with this season! Jahquel J took us on a wild ride, and every single moment had me locked in.

Cappadonna was the protector, the king, and the problem solver. He came home with a mission: to love his woman, protect his family, and handle business. And let me tell you, he did NOT disappoint. If there’s one thing about Big Capp, it’s that he doesn’t cap! He was a man who demanded respect and made sure nobody even thought about coming for what was his. I loved seeing the balance in his character, he was ruthless in the streets, but soft when it came to Alaina and Promise. He stood on business at all times, and if you crossed him you had another thing coming.

Alaina or Joy as Capp called her was the ride or die who found her strength. Alaina and Cappadonna were MADE for each other. Their love story wasn’t just romance it was partnership, loyalty, and passion all rolled into one. What I really appreciated about Alaina this season was how she stepped into her own strength. She wasn’t just the woman by Capp’s side; she held her own, made her own decisions, and refused to be a damsel in distress. It was so satisfying to see her evolve from someone who once felt unsure of her place to a woman who stood firm in her love, for her family, and in herself. Seeing her learn to stand up for herself and embrace her own power had me rooting for her. She’s still got a lot ahead of her, but watching her take control of her own story was powerful.

There are multiple POV’s in Cappadonna just as it was in Capone. I feel like there were more POV’s in Capp’s story though. However, Quasim and Quameer I can’t wait to learn more about these two. I’m interested in Quameer’s and Capri and how that will play out, so I’m looking forward to this in Capri. And Goon seems like a time to be had. Cause babyyy, what you meaaannnn?! Ha! Ha! I am loving all of their energy and I’m looking forward to learning more about these three here.

There a lot of rat tat tatting and pow, pow powing. If I had to describe this season in one word, it would be intense. The shootouts, the close calls, the betrayals it was just a lot going on. But it wasn’t just about the drama; the emotional beats hit just as hard. The way family played a central role in everything made this story so much more than just street life. It was about love, loyalty, and what it means to truly protect your own.

Now let’s talk about Capri. I like Capri aka Baby Doll so it was so good to see her finally prioritize herself. She’s been through it, and to watch her take control of her life, to say, “I deserve better,” was everything. Her journey is just getting started, and I can already tell it’s going to be one I won’t be able to put down.

Final Thoughts

Jahquel J delivered with this one. The action, the romance, the family bonds, it was all perfection. Cappadonna just like Capone isn’t just a story, but it’s an experience. Now I’m on to Capri!
